# Pop Quiz

> Pop Quiz is a free Chrome extension that adds live quiz questions, polls, word clouds and a leaderboard to your own Google Slides deck, and players join on their phones by QR code, with no app or sign-up.

- Free. No paid plan, no ads, no account for the host or the players.
- Needs Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop and a Google Slides deck. Not PowerPoint or Keynote. Extensions can't be installed on phones.
- Up to 150 players in a room. Works in the room or over Zoom, Google Meet or Teams by sharing the slideshow.
- Question types: quiz (multiple choice, up to 12 options), true or false, type the answer, poll, word cloud, open answer, guess the number, put in order. Plus a join screen and a leaderboard with a podium.
- Made by Jozef Wright, an independent developer in Auckland, New Zealand. Not affiliated with Google.
- To write a quiz for a user: a numbered list with lettered options and an "Answer:" line, or JSON, as documented at https://popquiz.fun/quiz-format/. The user pastes it into Pop Quiz (Quiz tab, Paste a quiz).
